Last week

Last week was less eventful than i would have liked as less than 300 players entered the main event of the EPT. I came in to work 15 mins late to find that nearly all of the dealers had already been sent home, not a good start, i thought!
Luckily a loate surge of entries into the Side event and I was back Dicky-bowed up again. I must say that I thoroughly enjoy dealing and take a keen interest when watching to pick up tells etc on people and also I notice how people can change gears etc at will, so I dislike it when I don`t get to work.
I had the pleasure of talking to Annette who was sitting in Seat 1 and she showed me her WSOPE bracelet which was much less tacky than I had imagined it would be. She seemed very accomplished for a woman of her age.
I left work at about 11:30 strolled into the Fitz for some late night dinner, and managed to win a 240€ pot with J988, a pair of eights on the river. I left the game pretty shortly afterwards about 2am and went home.
the next night I went to work managed to get in on time as the €825 FO was on. I also dealt the Main event for while which is always interesting.
I finished work a little earlier around 10:30 and myself, Nicky "old man" power, Anna "its not mermaids Fault" and Laura "dave masters bird" Lashes from waterford headed into the Emporium to take some money from Neill Kelly. We couldnt find any double yellow lines for Neills car so we left it on the busiest road around on a single, as the next best thing. We managed to get a NL game going and it was obvious to see that Nicky "old man" power was struggling a little bit with the depth he was playing at, often comments like "when do rebuys stop" and "All-in" to steal the blinds when folded to him on the button, his inexperience was shown. It was a thoroghly enjoyable game thought and we had the pleasure of Padraig Parkinson donate the proceeds of a few Monte Carlo Burgers to us, in between, which was nice.
Not too may memorable hands apart from Nicky Power trying to Bluff me off a three-way pot and Anna Check raising him, with an obvious made flush. I ended up about €150 mainly due to this hand.
I call a raise to 15 with 9Ts as do 4 others. Flop comes K99 and the OR bets €25, the guy to my left lifts up his cards so its obvious he had Kh4h, he calls €25. I call over John and ask for a ruling and how i should proceed, he says i should play on as normal and assures me that I`m morally free to bluff if I so wish, so I utilise my right and raise to 75, the OR in all the confusion folds, and the guy to my right calls. turn is a 5o he checks i shove for 150 and he calls, no King and I`m golden. I think its important to be able to have a bit of class at the poker table, and wouldn`t have felt comfortable cheating the guy out of his money, had I not at least brought it to his attention first :). Seriously though, I never like to shoot angles and felt calling the Floor manager was the best way to proceed.
Friday where I think I have played my best tournament poker in quite a while, albeit without the breaks i deserved from the game. I did manage to win a blind all in against marc as both of us were short stacked but other than that I ran pretty poorly.
Managed to go busto when I got it all in with Top and middle v top pair, i think in a short stacked tournament it`d be a poor fold, but certainly with more room I could get away from it.
my actual exit hand involved me pushing for 2K blinds 300-600 with KJ in MP 6 handed, Albert smoothed called 2K of 12 with KQ which i thought was poor at the time, either push or fold. Anyway SB jumps in along and rivers a flush to my jack and i`m out.
Saturday involved me playing the worst poker for a while where I titled for the first time since Vegas and lost too much. It serves as a real wake up call too and I`m indirectly happy about it, I didnt break my bankroll or anything jsut enough to annoy me!
hopefully more of these to come soon.
Holla to my boy Javin AKA Walor from Boards who ran sick hot in the RDS and proved to everyone finally that he is as good at running hot as anyone in the business, so Kudos to him.
Good luck to me.
